I fluttered thru the city of Roma with one thing on my mind.... champion! 12:06 min miles, I've never done that!  I totally floated free for a good 18 miles, then hit a wall of pain ( ball of leg bone in left hip connection , major ouch!) . Walked 1K and did the hundred ( just breathing of course ). I felt re grouped and embraced the pain, magically it went away 3K later. My feet felt like they were going to crumble in the last 5 miles but I loved the feeling of the hot cobble stones. Many thanks for the heel raises and towel trick, my ankle(s) didn't feel a thing :) I finished and it was such a treat. The marathon was a celebration of all my hard work and time during training. You really inspire me to kick ass no matter what goofy thing you may say. I remember everything and it's all parallel... Sore but enlightented, I must learn to walk again.
